Jane is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who creates engaging and original narrative content alongside an acclaimed and distinctive aesthetic. Her films have enjoyed success with Netflix, 20th Century Fox, A&E, BBC, C4, ITV and eOne.

Jane writes, produces and directs all her films and is widely recognised for her ability to elicit outstanding material from a wide cross-section of contributors; from international sports icons, music stars and celebrities to violent criminals.

Her cinema release feature film ‘Gascoigne’ was nominated at the Berlin and Bilbao Film Festivals and won Best Film and Best Director award at the Barcelona Film Festival. She has also been nominated for both Grierson and Broadcast Awards and won best documentary film with ‘Graffiti Wars’ at the Royal Television Awards.

Jane is passionate about storytelling and has a wide variety of life experiences to draw upon; from a career as a dancer, to teaching dance and drama in Holloway Prison and working as an actor in theatre and television. Before moving into film, Jane also worked as a staff journalist for over 10 years on national newspapers and magazines and is the published author of five books.

Her current project is directing a 2-hour special for A&E in the USA called ‘The Accused’ where she spent nine months filming with a man accused of murdering his wife.
